HAVAN - FIRE PUJA
The words havan and homa each derive from the Sanskrit root hu, meaning to offer, to present and to eat. We offer the puja to Agni, the God of Fire that since the earliest of Vedic times and even to present day, was viewed as the chief of the Gods.
In fire ceremonies like Navaratri, or for weddings, births, special festivals etc., the fire is lit symbolising the presence of God. Havan is a sacred fire ritual that accepts our offerings and prayers.
The sacred fire acts as a bridge between man and God, or between human consciousness and Cosmic Consciousness. When the fire is offered to specific deities, certain prayers are performed along with special offerings. The fire element is so potent that it has the ability to consume the physical components into particles of light, usually mastered and monitored in the Etheric loka by the fire God Agni and his helpers.
… And all returns to ash…
Kriyaji performs Havan or homas to help and assist many problems for the world and for each individual need. With each havan the negativities fabricated by our own minds are dispelled, as well as those projected by other minds. The dissolution of negativities and outdated life patterns, and the annihilation of negative effects and evils of others, are removed.
Havan creates the potential for the highest possible outcomes for us all as it removes obstacles or opposing influences that could be detrimental to one’s own life, health and journey.
What items can we offer to the mouth of God?
